Applications

  • Architectural Application

Architects and designers are increasingly incorporating aluminum

foam into building facades and interior elements. Aluminum Foam

It is available in different cell sizes and any color.

  • Thermal Insulation

Aluminum foam, especially closed-cell foam, acts as an effective

thermal barrier due to its structure, main end applications:

  • Building insulation (fireproof panels)
  • Heat shields in automotive and aerospace
  • High-temperature piping systems

  • Acoustic Insulation

Open-cell aluminum foam is excellent at absorbing sound waves.

making it valuable for noise reduction

  • Buildings and vehicle armoring

we are able to offer Aluminum Foam for automotive and armoring-based

on customer specification.

Project Title:

combination of Aluminum Foam with BIPV panels

Objective:

This project aims to achieve combining aluminum foam with BIPV to offer structural, thermal, and renewable energy benefits in a single assembly.

Introduction

Aluminum Foam with BIPV (Building-Integrated Photovoltaics) is an emerging area of interest in sustainable architecture and materials science.

BIPV attracts recently a lot of interest, it refers to Building-Integrated Photovoltaics, where solar panels are incorporated into the envelope of a building (roofs, façades, windows) to serve both energy generation and architectural functions.

Key benefits:

  • Dual function: electricity generation + building material with long term warranty
  • Aesthetically integrated
  • Reduces building energy costs
  • Can contribute to LEED or other green certifications

Use Cases

Façade Systems

  • Aluminum foam panels act as cladding with BIPV modules mounted on, giving the attractive view of aluminum foam and protecting BIPV from any damage like hail; stone,
  • Improves aesthetic flexibility, lightweight, and heat dissipation,

Sunshades / Louvers

  • Aluminum foam louvers with integrated PV cells provide shading + power generation.

Advantages

Thermal regulation: Aluminum foam helps dissipate heat from PV panels, potentially increasing their efficiency.

Weight reduction: Particularly valuable for retrofits or high-rise buildings.

Architectural freedom: Aluminum foam can be shaped or coated, allowing for creative BIPV designs.

Fire Resistance & Safety: Aluminum foam has a high melting point and doesn’t emit toxic gases.
